WEEKLY ROOM INFORMATION for w/c 22nd April

BABY ROOM

  • Babies have been making red playdough to celebrate St Georges Day, they had fun pouring in the flour, mixing and rolling.
  • During outdoor play we have been playing with large balls to practice our gross motor skills.
  • We joined in with this week’s theme of ‘building’ by using wooden blocks to construct our own homes.

TODDLER ROOM

  • Toddlers made their own builders workshop, Busy building, fixing and making houses.
  • We had lots of various arts and crafts activities for our Humpty Dumpty display board.
  • Toddlers made small world tray using pasta, oats and diggers. The children all had an imaginative time exploring.
  • We welcome Annabelle who joined us this week

PRE SCHOOL

  • We celebrated St Georges Day by making the England flag, red and white pictures and having a little talk about why we celebrate St Georges Day.
  • Pre-schoolers have been making a castle in the mud kitchen using various art resources.
  • We continue to make spring pictures for our display.
  • Ethan has joined us at Kiddies this week…we have helped him settle by asking what he likes playing with.

We will be saying hello in Arabic next week ‘asalam-a-lay-kum’ 

As the weather is now getting warmer and we do spend a lot of time outdoors could we please remind everyone to bring in sunscreen and sun hats, thank you to those who already have.

A gentle reminder, could you please not allow your child to use the green button to open the front door at all times as it can cause concern for safety, thank you

Ryan, from Wyevale is hoping to visit us next week to help the children grow some flowers, this will support our theme.

Sunrise Senior Living visit is on Monday 29th April ’10.30am – we continue with our inter-generational play as it supports our children’s social skills develop.
